Top 10 Posts of January 2013

Sharing is caring!

Crystal & Co., received some great traffic during the month of January. We started the year off right with a bang reaching 140,000+ pageviews in the month of January.

Are you too a blogger? Do you ever look at your analytics to see which posts are your most popular? I like to look at it each month and see what my top ten posts are. By doing this it helps me to see what posts my readers like, what posts are bringing new readers to my site via Google searches as well as helps me see which topics I should continue to share on my site.

This is how I am getting traffic to my site:

  • Participate in linky parties. These are the 50+ parties I link up to each week.
  • Guest posting on other sites. I love to share my recipes round ups and craft round ups on other sites.
  • Sharing my work on social media channels like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Are you following Crystal & Co., over on these places?

If you are a new blogger and you are wanting to drive more traffic to your site, I highly recommend you start doing the three tasks just mentioned. Check out all of my blogging tips as well for more pointers.

Here is a look at what was popular on my site this month.

  1. I came across this post on Pinterest and have a question. Isn’t it proper linky party etiquette to visit/comment on at least a few other links of other bloggers that are participating? How can you possibly do that with over 50 linky parties a week??? It’s driving traffic to your blog, but, are you helping drive traffic to other blogs that are linked up?
Just curious..that many parties seems a bit much.

    1. Barb- commenting is good etiquette. This list of linky parties are not all for one day. This list is for an entire 7 day week. So, for one day I am linking up to 5-7 or so linky parties. But there are enough linky parties out there that if you wanted to link up to 20 a day you could. That is more than I can handle.

I do visit and comment on other links at each party. I love finding new ideas and meeting new bloggers.

This works for me and I only encourage others to do what works for them and what is manageable, but linky parties are a great way to grow period. And leaving comments and visiting other posts while at a linky party only adds to that momentum.

      Hope that helps.
