Using CVS Coupons to Save More

Sharing is caring!

I am so excited to be here at Crystal & Co. today to bring you some fun tips to help you save even more using CVS Store Coupons when shopping at CVS.   Using CVS coupons can drastically reduce your overall spending when shopping the sales there each week.  A lot of people don’t realize that these CVS coupons can be STACKED with (used along with) any manufacturer’s coupons you have.

Sign up to have CVS Coupons emailed to you

You can sign up for CVS email updates by registering for an ExtraCare Account Online and you will receive CVS coupons each week.   You will typically receive a “dollar off a certain amount” CVS Coupon, like a $3 off a $15 purchase.   You can use these coupons ALONG WITH any other CVS coupons you have as well as manufacturer coupons!

It is best to hand over these “Dollar Off” coupons FIRST!  This will make sure it is deducted from your highest total amount on the register. You would present any other CVS coupons next, then your manufacturer’s coupons and, lastly, any Extra Care Bucks you have received from previous transactions (which act as cash!)

Scan your ECB Card at the ExtraCare Coupon Center for CVS Coupons

My new favorite place to get CVS Coupons is the fabulous ExtraCare Coupon Center, which can be found in almost all CVS stores.   It is quickly becoming know as “The Red Magic Coupon Machine”. (pictured below is what this little sweetie looks like)

Each stop you make to CVS you will want to march right up first thing and scan your ECB Card there.   Keep scanning your card even after you get your first round of coupons.   It’s a little sneaky that way.   You will get a message that says \”No More Coupons Available\” when you no longer have any coupons left to print.   I usually scan 2-3 times to get all that are available to me.   The coupons that you scan will typically only be valid a week or less and some are valid only on the day you print it.

One of the most exciting things about the “Magic Coupon Machine” is that he/she/it will print coupons for absolutely FREE items on occasion.   Yes!  I said that.   Free. I love Free!  Last week I got a free 20 ct of Always Pantiliners!  Yippee!  I have also gotten free CVS brand band-aids and a Free Candy Bar…..even though I really didn’t need that one 🙂  They happened to be out of the band-aids listed on the freebie coupon that I printed but they happily substituted another style that was up to the value stated on the coupon.

You will always have coupons print for a $ off a certain product or even $ off $$ purchase of a particular item. (i.e., Save $1 off any Gillette Deodorant or Save $3 off any $10 purchase of Nature Made Vitamins).   I have also had Buy One Get One Free Coupons print! Don’t forget you can use a Buy One, Get One Free Manufacturer coupon with a CVS Buy One Get One Free coupon (or BOGO sale) and get TWO items for completely FREE! Did I tell you I really like Free?!

Remember to always combine any of the $ off product CVS coupons you print with any manufacturer’s coupons for that same product and double up on savings!

Print CVS Coupons at CVS.com

You can also print CVS coupons at CVS.com.   They have there own In-store coupons page.   The CVS coupons are the ones that have the red CVS logo just under the picture of the item.   Most of the time you can print these coupons twice just like other printable coupons around the web.

Here is an example of how this works:

There is a CVS coupon for Skintimate Shave Cream over on their coupon page. You can use this coupon ALONG with this $0.75 off Skintimate Cream Shave printable manufacturer’s coupon or the $1 Skintmate manufacturer’s coupon that was in the July 24th Smartsource coupon insert.   Skintimate is on sale this week for $1.99.   So, when you use these 2 coupons you can get it either $0.24 or for completely FREE!

It’s so exciting to see just how much you can save shopping the sales at CVS!  Saving is really easy once you get started and have fun!

Are you new to shopping the weekly CVS sales?  If so, be sure to read this CVS 101 post to learn the ins and outs.   Also, read the CVS coupon policy to become familiar with that as well.
