How to Use Clothespins and Twine to Display Art Work and Christmas Cards

by Crystal · 13 comments

in Christmas Crafts, craft tutorials, crafty ideas, how to

Super simple.

Super cheap.

Super awesome.

And best of all, it is not too late to make this for Christmas and it is perfect even after the holidays!

Do you need a place to display your Christmas cards, birthday cards, fun family pictures, the beautiful things your little ones bring home from school and the hard-earned-much-to-celebrate-about spelling tests?

Here is your solution and most of the supplies come from the dollar store!

You will need:

  • twine
  • clothespins
  • scrapbook paper
  • mod podge (my new best friend)
  • brush or sponge for applying mod podge
  • scissors
  • pencil for tracing

Here is the tutorial on how to make your mod podge clothespins. Why reinvent the wheel when the gals over at Factory Direct Craft have already put together an awesome tutorial {with tips}!

Make the clothespins as simple or as elaborate as you want. You can even make them for different occasions and rotate them out according to what you’re celebrating. (back to school, Valentine’s, Christmas, Halloween, summer vacation etc.)

Here’s how mine turned out:

String your twine on the wall and secure it with pushpins and display your beauties!

Tada- you’re done!

You’re welcome.

I did the exact same thing to display my Christmas cards (but my clothespins aren’t nearly as cute as yours!)
