Big Bird Little Bird Lullaby DVD (GIVEAWAY)

We are in love with Texas musician Sara Hickman’s video Big Bird Little Bird at our house! It is the most soothing, perfectly animated DVD we probably own. Her award winning music is non-over-stimulating and there is a variety of animation styles to keep your childrens’ attention.

Sara sings along to the animation and her voice catches you. In some songs like, We Are Each Others Angels, she sounds just like Gloria Estefan. Then in songs like, This Heart, her voice reminds me so much of Anne Murray. Unique combination, hua?

Our favorite songs are A Slice of Heaven, Goop’s In It and Big Bird Little Bird. You can sample the video here. The cd has a section of photographs from when Sara’s children were little and includes pictures of her family. It is very personal. You feel like you are getting to know her and you see her love for her children and for family. It is very refreshing.

There is also a section of parenting tips from Sara at the end of the video where she gives pointers on nursing, baby development, how to have fun with your baby, encouraging genuine encounter moments and even how to communicate with your baby. She gives a tip about grocery shopping with children in tow that goes right along with a tip I gave here on my blog- park close to the shopping carts to make getting into the store easier for you and your kids. (Great minds think alike, hua?)
