Weekly Meal Plan 34

Sharing is caring!

Ok, I ‘ve reached that point. The one where it is hot, I am drained by dinner time, and eating dinner at the local deli sounds so much more appealing than putting any energy into a meal. I am spent to say the least. But aren’t all mom’s this time of year? We have almost survived an entire month of summer. What is that line in the old Kenny Rogers song… you never count your money while you’re sitting at the table. We certainly are not in the clear and I know I have to press ahead or these children will starve.

Feed them. You must feed them.

Below is what I plan to feed my daycare family this week.

Pioneer Woman’s Chicken Spaghetti– served with cheese bread

Crockpot Chicken Cacciatore– this is a carry over from last week. I told you I am really struggling to cook some nights.
Bow tie pasta dish – the twins went grocery shopping with me Sunday morning. Never ever a good thing! Luke grabbed this box of mini bow tie pastas. After telling him we did not need them as I do not know what I would do with them and his response, as he looked at me dumbfounded, he said we would eat them Mommy! So I am going to use garlic, EVOO, some bacon pieces and Parmesan cheese to make a light pasta dinner that is in my mind and will hopefully come together on the stove. Wish me luck. They sure are cute little pastas!
Orange Chicken Delight– served over rice
Leftover Buffet– use ’em up!

McDonalds Leftovers- we can eat Chicken Spaghetti for days!
McDonalds Mac and Cheese
Mcdonalds Frozen bean burritos and cheese sauce (so simple!)
For sides we have seedless watermelon (watermelon is a great way to assist in keeping your kids hydrated during the summer months!) fruit cups, apple sauce and frozen yogurt tubes.

Cold Cereal and fruit
Bagels and cream cheese
Granola bars and fruit
Homemade Pancakes and bacon
Cinnamon toast and fruit

Chips and salsa
Wheat Thins and strawberry cream cheese
Cheese tots
Trail mix
Rice cakes and peanut butter
The Kenny Rogers song is still totally stuck in your head, isn’t it? Yeah, me too!

  1. Debbi Does Dinner Healthy says:

You're kids would LOVE it if you just went to McD's for lunch everyday!!! I love having meals planned but when I am still on the fence about something or when I realize I'm an ingredient short, it's annoying and I go into a total panic.

Yes, the song is in my mind. Thank you.
