Today I am grateful for…

Sharing is caring!

star wars guys– in the butter dish of the refrigerator. Someone must been side tracked while getting a snack.

dinner out– it is always so nice when someone else does the cleaning up and serving.

laughter–  from the living room. It is so refreshing.

sleep– we must rejuvenate!

ice cream cones– they always bring a smile to any child’s face. Put a cherry on top- kids love that!

Are we all taking the simple things for granted? What are you grateful for?

  2. Debbi- isn't that so funny! I was laughing so hard. It made my day. The joys of childhood!

    Thanks for reading!

  3. Blake actually read this post before me. He said look at what Nicky left in the fridge! Skylar agrees that it was Nicky. We saw TONS of Star Wars toys today and they wished Nick had been with us.

I am grateful for wonderful inlaws! They are always so thoughtful.

I am grateful that even though it is Mike's birthday, he understands I just have to check Crystal's blog. 🙂

Today I am Grateful For…

Awe, my Simple Abundance journey. It has been a while since I’ve  had a Simple Abundance post.

I know what my limits are.

At the beginning of the year I committed to sharing my daily journey as I search for simple abundance and read the amazing book Simple Abundance- A Daybook of Comfort and Joy.

When it gets to be too much I have to reevaluate.

While I am still reading the book and enjoying my search for simplicity, it  is just too much to prepare daily Simple Abundance posts and a daily Crystal & Co post. I know you understand.

I still plan to share snippets of my journey. And the most important part of the journey is finding gratitude. Remember the gratitude journal? Five things we are grateful for.

Today I am grateful for…

Summer heat– it really is a love hate relationship. It is stifling here in Texas (and it is only the first week of June) but the heat is what brings our bread and butter. The heat is essential for the success of our business. The heat arrives every single year- for this I am grateful. (with a stuck up nose)

Time away– a few hours away from the house by myself makes me so grateful for my children. Encourages me to reflect. Helps me grasp patience. Makes my heart grow.

Sweet tea– I am an addict. Of a certain brand of course. It absolutely hits the spot on a hot afternoon.

Peace and quiet– I am grateful to get it (during my time away) but it helps me realize how much I love the noises of my home and the chaos of my children. Guess we just get used to mayhem.

Mopped floors– I need this more often. Gosh it feels good when it is done. It smells divine- Pinsol of course. Makes the whole house feel clean. Need more mopped floors at my house. Any volunteers?

Have a wonderful Friday.

Don’t forget to sign up for my giveaway. The baby timer every parent needs!

    -my kids
-rain…on the wet…I mean west coast this has been A LOT lately
    -fun shoes
    -encouraging bloggers!
    Have a great weekend!

  3. This is nice! I live in a city where, as much as I admire its people, have turned whining into a national sport. We can find fulfillment and happiness in the simple things.

    Today, I'm grateful for:
    – my good grades, which I got during my last semester in graduate school, a time when I lived a more balanced life.
    – the great peanut butter sandwich I had for snacks.
    – the cheap but cute shoes and bag I bought from the neighborhood mall. 🙂

    Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!
